Carla Dionísio
I’m graduated by ITM - one of the most prestigious schools of Thai massage in the world - being Traditional Thai Massage therapist & teacher since January 2013.
Passionate about sports since childhood, I practiced ballet, gymnastics, figure skating, surfing, dancing, among others. In 2004, graduated in “Sport and Physical Activities’ Psychology” and completed the Pedagogical Training of Trainers. Later, in 2008, following another passion - aging - I did a postgraduate degree in "Aging: Physical Activity & Functional Autonomy".
Suffering from back problems since early childhood, several times I was forced to interrupt my sport’s practice; having therefore developed body sensitivity and started spontaneously doing self-massage. Recognising its benefits, I began applying simple massage techniques on my mother and friends. The seed of healing was planted.
Later, after having gone through several professional areas, decided to head to the east on a journey of self-knowledge and training. It was in Chiang Mai, Thailand where I got my certification as an advanced practitioner & teacher of Thai Massage, Thai Foot Reflexology, Thai Herbal Hot Compress, Tok Sen and Assessment & Treatment of Dysfunctional Movement. Back in Portugal at the end of 2012, I began my professional practice as a freelancer. Since then, I got certified as a Manual Lymphatic Drainage therapist - Vodder method; Massage Therapy Technician and Physiotherapy Assistant; Fascial Integration: pelvic girdle and shoulder girdle; Reiki, level 1; Quantum Touch, level 1; Postural Assessment: Emotional anatomy and SCAN model.
As a certified massage therapist with a background in psychology, my goal is to help those who come to me connect their body, mind and emotions so that they can live a healthier and more balanced life while honouring the lineage and tradition that I follow.
With infinite gratitude to my teachers 🙏 I am absolutely happy in my role as therapist.
